Subclinical hypothyroidism

Post by wendy »

Subclinical hypothyroidism is a condition that can be caused by both iodine deficiency and excessive iodine intake.

Subclinical hypothyroidism is characterized by elevated serum TSH levels, while thyroid hormones are within a laboratory "normal" range.

Elevated TSH levels are also caused by fluoride, even at low intake and at water concentrations below those used in community fluoridation programs.
