A select list of 40+ papers from the international literature documenting the use and efficacy of fluoride as an antithyroid medication in iodine-induced hyperthyroidism (Jod Basedow). Included are studies on tablets, baths, ointments, eggs, injections, as well as organic fluoride preparations. Please note the many papers from the 1930s - long before artificial fluoridation supplementation programs were considered. The effects of fluoride on iodine metabolism were well-known at the time.
