Teflon Lawsuit
WTAP News - June 20, 2006

Another lawsuit targeting DuPont's releases of a chemical used to make Teflon has been filed in New Jersey.
In a complaint filed Wednesday, Pennsville, New jersey, resident Donald Coles claims that the chemical known as C-8 has been found in groundwater tapped by utilities in Pennsville Township and Penns Grove.
The complaint seeks medical monitoring for area residents, and punitive damages against DuPont. It's similar to a lawsuit filed in federal court in April, and Coles is seeking class-action status.
DuPont already has agreed to pay hundreds of millions of dollars to settle a class-action lawsuit stemming from contamination of drinking-water supplies in west Virginia and Ohio.
