Fluorine Gas Leak Reported At USF Physics Building

TAMPA - Tampa Fire Rescue is on scene of a possible fluorine gas leak at the University of South Florida's physics building.
A professor smelled what he believed could be fluorine gas, so he called 911 and pulled an alarm to evacuate the building shortly before 7:30 a.m., Capt. Bill Wade said. Only a few people were in the building at the time.
No injuries have been reported.
A hazardous materials team is investigating.
