Lab test mishap sends six to hospital

Six people were hospitalized Wednesday after being exposed to noxious hydrogen fluoride fumes from an experiment that went awry at a laboratory at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, police and firefighters said.
Two foreign students — a 32-year-old man from Yemen and a 24-year-old man from Turkey — suffered minor burns to their faces, while three other students and an instructor got sick after inhaling the gas, they said.
