【Abstract】: The changes of thyroid tissue and thyroid hormones in rats drinking high-fluorine water and selenium were observed. The results showed that the proliferation of thyroid follicular epithelial cells was active early, and the level of free thyroid hormone was significantly increased. In the later stage, thyroid follicular epithelial cells showed degenerative changes, and the levels of FT3 and T4 were significantly reduced. Selenium supplementation has a certain relationship with thyroid hormone levels. It is suggested that high fluoride excites the thyroid gland in the early stage, and the nail function is highly compensated. In the later stage, it inhibits the thyroid gland to make the nail function lower. Fluorine changes in thyroid tissue and function are closely related to the time of fluoride ingestion.
NOTE: First increase - then decrease. (Just like TSH)
