Fluorosis detected

BHUBANESWAR: The State Government has detected prevalence of fluorosis among the populace of Chakulia and Kuanrpur villages in Balasore district.
Admitting the prevalence of the disease, Health and Family Welfare Minister Bijoyshree Routray said in reply to a question that an expert team of doctors, which toured the villages, has confirmed it.
He said the Health Department has distributed medicines to the affected villagers. He, however, said for total prevention, villagers will have to be provided with drinking water without fluoride content.
